The Bermuda Arts Center in Dockyard, Bermuda has opened it’s latest showing, ‘Autumn Open’. I decided to give it a shot and enter in some pieces that I turned from doodles into paintings. You’ll have to understand my nervousness with this. I don’t exactly doodle or paint what a lot of people in the art community in Bermuda seem to want. I don’t have any amazing artistic explanation behind why I painted something. And the truth of the matter is, most of my doodles/paintings come from meeting doodles or silly conversations I’ve had on Twitter.
Anyway, short post here. I entered in some pieces. Sandra and I went to the opening, I met an amazing artist who works in oils and his shipwreck paintings are INCREDIBLE. So go check out Christopher Grime’s website here. People seemed to like the stuff I entered, which is great, but it’s still a little weird to me. I figure I’ll keep at it at least until the weirdness goes away
So have a look at how the doodles turned out as paintings, and feel free to hit me up on twitter if you think something else I doodled should be turned into a painting
